Integrated Psychiatry & Whole-Body Health

Hello
Why I Do This Work
After decades in clinical psychiatry, I’ve learned that emotional wellbeing cannot be separated from physical health. My practice integrates both — addressing the biology, psychology, and daily habits that shape how we feel and function.
My Story
Why I Designed This Website
After more than twenty years in clinical practice, I’ve noticed how often emotional wellbeing is viewed apart from physical health. But they’re deeply connected—our mood, energy, and focus are influenced by hormones, sleep, inflammation, and daily habits.
My goal is to bridge that gap. I created this space to share evidence-based insights and practical tools with both patients and clinicians, helping guide thoughtful, whole-person decisions about health.
.
Professional Background
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) working across primary-care and behavioral-health settings in the West, Pacific Northwest, and Alaska. I’ve developed and directed integrated mental-health programs, collaborated closely with primary-care physicians, and taught students how to bridge psychiatry and whole-body medicine.
My Philosophy
The best care begins with curiosity, not labels.
I aim to meet each person and each clinical team where they are — blending evidence-based treatment, empathy, and practical tools that fit real life.
Whether I’m helping a patient see how sleep or insulin resistance can shape mood, or guiding a clinic toward more integrated care, my goal is the same—to share knowledge that helps people make confident, informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, I’m most at home outdoors—on mountain trails, traveling to new places, or diving beneath an ocean surface. I believe movement, curiosity, and connection are at the heart of resilience. Those same qualities guide how I practice, teach, and continue to learn—whether through patient care or exploring new directions in longevity medicine.
